The color trends that dominated the 2019 spring summer runways -part 2

This season is particularly colorful, with new shades and prints characterizing spring trends and fashions. From subtle basics or earth colors to bright neons, spring 2019 is full of proposals that celebrate color and its transformative potential. Focusing on four shades that we spotted to appear almost everywhere, this is the second part of the major color trends that will dominate Spring-Summer 2019.

The New Beige

Beige is part of a general family of neutrals that are significant of Spring-and this season is no exception. Brands that usually sport brights like Dior or Stella McCartney and Kenzo also invested in some great daywear beiges. This went along with brands that typically include subtler shades in their color vocabulary, like Burberry or MaxMara, presenting unusual combinations of the neutral palette plus neons. In fact, this is perhaps the best way to wear beiges-paired with bright reds, shocking pinks, and oranges that make a difference.

Bright Orange

Rust was a strong autumn trend and its reign continues during spring as well. This time, fashion’s new take on rust produces a burnt orange shade that is bright, energetic and positive. At the same time, bright orange is a great canvas for all spring outfits that need an extra shine without the fierceness of neon yellow or pink. Wear it in accessories or in a statement dress and style with neutrals-or dare a small dose of blue.

Teal is a color that comes straight from Pantone’s  2018 violet color of the Year -and it’s an inspiring ultraviolet hue that can update any outfit. A medium blue with shades of green, this color takes its name from the teal bird and aspires to give a note of spirituality and mindfulness across all fiercer spring trends. Teal was a huge trend in runways, with brands like Alexander Mcqueen and Zuhair Murad offering great evening wear alternatives to black and blue –the perfect idea for the elegant types that will choose to shy away from oranges and greens.

Neon Green

If teal seems made for the elegant ones, then neon green is the shade of the daring types. With Kendall and Kylie Jenner already sporting the look, there is no doubt that neon green is a must Spring 2019 color for all fashionistas. Spotted in New York and Milan runways, this bright hue updated streetwear pieces as in the Off White collection or brought nudes to life as in Gucci. Worn in practically everything from full looks to fashion accessories such as sunglasses and even sneakers, neon green is strong, fashionable and unapologetic.
